LAKEWOOD RANCH (FOX 13) –
A new bridal shop in Manatee County is doing more than simply finding gowns for brides-to-be.
On the surface, a new bridal shop in Lakewood Ranch resembles many others—gowns line the pink walls, mirrors are standing by, and personal shoppers are waiting.
It is the mission however, that sets the “Brides Against Breast Cancer Boutique” apart.
“We’re touching young ladies when they’re beginning their lives and they’re very interested in giving back,” said VP of Business Development Amy Paulishak.
Brides Against Breast Cancer is a national non-profit group. The gowns are all donated and then resold to benefit those battling breast cancer. Upwards of 200,000 women are diagnosed with the disease every year.
