Ben Carson’s prestigious life and work have led to a documentary, a TV movie, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the directorship of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the authorship of five best-sellers.

But it was his provocative keynote address at the National Prayer Breakfast with President Barack Obama on Feb.7 that truly catapulted him into the public consciousness and prompted the Wall Street Journal to proclaim “Ben Carson for President” the following day.
